WWE Independent Development Program Announces New Signings
MEMPHIS, Tenn. — WWE Independent Development™, a talent development program, has made headlines with the announcement of Memphis wrestling star «The Problem» Aaron Roberts as their latest signee. The program is designed to offer independent wrestlers a clear path toward a potential career in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). This initiative aims to provide mentorship, training, and development opportunities for emerging talent in the world of professional wrestling.
Aaron Roberts, a 23-year-old native of Dyersburg, is well-known in the regional wrestling circuit. Standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing 420 pounds, Roberts’s imposing presence in the ring has earned him his nickname. With his inclusion in the WWE Independent Development program, Roberts will have access to various resources that could bolster his career in professional wrestling.
In another significant announcement, former All Elite Wrestling (AEW) wrestler Kylie Rae has also been selected as a prospect for the WWE ID program. Rae was part of AEW’s women’s division when the promotion began in 2019 but later requested her release. Her new opportunity with the WWE ID program was announced during an independent wrestling event organized by Freelance Wrestling. Gabe Sapolsky, a WWE representative, commented on Rae’s inclusion in the program on social media platform X.
Overall, WWE has now introduced 17 prospects for their Independent Development program. These individuals will benefit from financial support, along with training, although they are not signed to full-time talent contracts with WWE. The aim of this program is to develop and nurture promising independent wrestlers, providing them with a structured pathway to excel in professional wrestling at a global level.
