ISTANBUL, Aug 27 (Reuters) – Young Boys triumphed over Galatasaray with a 1-0 victory in the second leg of their Champions League playoff on Tuesday. This win allowed them to qualify for the league phase of the newly structured competition, concluding with a 4-2 aggregate score.

In a thrilling match, Young Boys forward Alan Virginius showcased his skill by scoring in the 87th minute. This decisive goal followed Young Boys’ impressive performance in the home leg, where they defeated Galatasaray 3-2.

In another playoff match, Czech champions Sparta Prague also advanced to the Champions League’s league phase by defeating Sweden’s Malmo 2-0, resulting in a dominant 4-0 aggregate victory.

Additionally, another fixture saw a draw as a team drew 1-1 at home with Dynamo Kyiv, progressing after their earlier 2-0 win in the first leg.
