YouTube sensations were at the forefront of a thrilling charity football match as Beta Squad clashed with AMP in a mystery player showdown at Selhurst Park.
The star-studded event brought together popular content creators from two renowned YouTube groups, Beta Squad boasting over nine million subscribers and AMP led by Twitch streamer Kai Cenat.
During the match in aid of the Water Project, viewers were kept on the edge of their seats as they tried to unveil the mystery player amongst the YouTubers; with speculations pointing towards the likes of Michael Olise or Alex Iwobi.
The match featured impressive performances from Crystal Palace‘s Michael Olise and former Arsenal midfielder Alex Iwobi, who were heavily involved and even found the net to level the score before half-time.
Shrouded in mystery and wearing a mask throughout the game, the unidentified professional footballer with Champions League experience remained a focal point of intrigue for the audience.
Despite the speculations, neither Olise nor Iwobi was revealed to be the masked player, leaving fans guessing at the player’s true identity throughout the exhibition.
As the match progressed, Beta Squad’s Filly emerged as a standout player, scoring crucial goals to secure the lead and maintain the team’s edge against the spirited AMP side.
The event was supported by youth fashion and sportswear brand JD, who partnered with the players to raise funds for The Water Project, adding a philanthropic angle to the highly anticipated charity match.
