Eugene Marathon and Events Kick Off This Weekend

EUGENE, Ore. — The much-anticipated Eugene Marathon and related events are set to begin this weekend, April 26-27. The weekend activities kick off with a Health & Wellness Expo, which runs until 6 p.m. Friday at Graduate Eugene and 5th Street Market Alley.
The Eugene 5K race will start at 8 a.m. Saturday at Hayward Field at the University of Oregon. Participants have shown excitement as they prepare for the 3.1-mile race.
Kids will have their chance to participate in the Kids Duck Dash, scheduled from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday. This fun event also includes a Krusteaz Pancake breakfast, making it a festive occasion for families.
Later on Saturday at 9:30 a.m., runners can join the Shakeout Run with professional runner Keira D’Amato and the PR Project, which will also take place at Graduate Eugene and 5th Street Market Alley.
The main events, the full Marathon and Half Marathon, will take place on Sunday, with both races beginning at 7 a.m. The Marathon route will wind through the picturesque University of Oregon campus and alongside the Willamette River.
The Eugene Marathon is not just a race; it’s a celebration of athleticism and community engagement, reflecting the area’s rich running culture. The event encourages both local residents and visitors to join in the festivities.
