Famous Pair Of Orcas, Port And Starboard, Make A Splash In Kalk Bay Harbour

Two well-known Orcas, who go by the names Port and Starboard, created a stir when they were spotted swimming in Kalk Bay Harbour yesterday morning. These adult male Orcas have gained fame for their fearless hunting of great white sharks along the coast. The Orcas’ dorsal fins are uniquely collapsed, with the left and right fins leaning in opposite directions, hence their names.

Since then, they have been sighted multiple times in South African waters, including offshore in Cape Point, False Bay, and Gansbaai, where they have also honed their hunting skills.
