Final Four Set for Women’s College World Series in Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — The NCAA Women's College World Series has reached its crucial semifinal stage as four teams vie for the national championship. Following thrilling elimination games on June 1, Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, and Tennessee remain in the hunt for the title. The semifinals will be held on June 2, 2025, at Devon Park.
No. 6 Texas and No. 12 Texas Tech each need only one win to secure a spot in the championship series. For Texas, this could mean their second consecutive WCWS finals appearance and their third since 2022. On the other hand, Texas Tech, led by ace NiJaree Canady, seeks its first appearance in the championship series.
Meanwhile, No. 2 Oklahoma and No. 7 Tennessee fought hard on June 1 to avoid elimination. Both teams must win two games on June 2 to advance, with their tournament life on the line. A single loss would eliminate them from the competition.
The schedule for June 2 includes two initial matchups: Texas will face Tennessee at 11 a.m. CT, and later in the evening, Texas Tech will face Oklahoma. Each game will be broadcast live on ESPN, with a chance of one or two additional games depending on the outcomes.
This year’s WCWS kicked off on May 29 with eight teams battling for top honors. The series has been notable for its intense competition and high stakes. The championship series, a best-of-three affair, will commence on either June 5 or June 6, depending on the outcomes of the semifinals.
Fans and viewers can catch all the action on the ESPN app, though a valid cable login is required for streaming.
