Flyers Vs Flames Nhl Game Preview

PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania — The Philadelphia Flyers will host the struggling Calgary Flames on Sunday, November 2, at 7 p.m. ET as both teams look to rebound from recent losses. The Flames are in the midst of a three-game losing streak, while the Flyers are aiming to recover after a 5-2 defeat to the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Calgary enters the matchup with a record of 2-9-2, placing them at the bottom of the NHL standings. In their last outing, they lost to the Nashville Predators, allowing four goals while only scoring two. Despite the dismal performance, Flames head coach Ryan Huska is making some lineup changes by inserting forward Connor Zary and defenseman Zayne Parekh, both of whom were scratched in previous games.

On the Flyers’ side, they will welcome back veteran Sean Couturier, who missed the last game due to an upper-body injury. The team hopes his return provides a much-needed offensive boost. Young forward Matvei Michkov, who has struggled recently, is also looking for a breakout game against the Flames, who have allowed an average of four goals per game during their current skid.

The matchup is particularly significant for Morgan Frost, who returns to Philadelphia after being traded to Calgary last season. He has been one of the Flames’ top producers lately, contributing four points over his last five games.

Flyers goaltender Aleksei Kolosov will make his first start of the season after a solid performance in relief on Saturday, stopping all seven shots he faced. Meanwhile, Flames goalie Dustin Wolf will attempt to reverse a streak of nine losses in his last ten games, having been pulled from his previous start after allowing three goals.

The puck drops at 7 p.m. ET, with viewing available on NBCSP+ and NHL Network.
