Former defensive lineman Craig Roh, known for his contributions to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and BC Lions in the CFL, has passed away at the young age of 33.

Roh’s wife, Chelsea, shared the heartbreaking news on social media, revealing that he had been battling Stage IV colon cancer for 18 months before his passing.

Teammates like Adam Bighill and retired CFL player Derek Dennis expressed their deep sorrow at Roh’s passing, emphasizing his character both on and off the field.

Standing at six-foot-five and weighing 266 pounds, Roh made significant impacts during his time with the BC Lions and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, where he clinched a Grey Cup victory in 2019.

The BC Lions, where Roh began his CFL journey, paid tribute to his professionalism and dedication to the team, highlighting his work with their community programs.

Former head coach and GM Wally Buono and numerous other players and coaches also shared their condolences for Roh and his family in this difficult time.

During his football career, Roh accumulated impressive stats including 64 tackles, 20 sacks, and multiple forced fumbles, showcasing his skill and commitment to the game.

A celebration of life is scheduled to be held in Phoenix, Arizona on March 16, allowing friends, family, and fans to pay their respects to the late football star.
