Former Chelsea defender, William Gallas, has recommended that his former club consider signing key Manchester United players, Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford, in the upcoming transfer window.

Such moves between the two Premier League giants are infrequent, but Gallas believes that the recent transfer of Mason Mount from Chelsea to another top club demonstrates that exceptions can be made under suitable circumstances.

Bruno Fernandes, Manchester United’s captain, has faced criticism for his attitude despite his productivity on the field. With a potential managerial change on the horizon at United, Fernandes’ leadership style and approach may come under scrutiny, especially as the club aims to secure silverware, a goal they have struggled to achieve during his tenure.

Meanwhile, Marcus Rashford, who enjoyed a stellar season previously, has endured a challenging campaign so far, leading to speculations about a potential move away from Old Trafford. Amidst his inconsistent form, Chelsea, seeking to bolster their attacking options, could find Rashford a valuable addition according to Gallas.

Gallas stated, “Both Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes could be good options for Chelsea. Both are quality players. Bruno could definitely be the kind of midfielder who has the quality to play in the number ten role where Chelsea lack strength.”

Chelsea, known for their significant investments post-takeover, have not seen commensurate success on the pitch. Players like Werner, despite their previous successes elsewhere, have struggled to replicate their form at Stamford Bridge.

In a recent match, Timo Werner faced jeers from the Chelsea faithful, indicating their dissatisfaction with his performances. Gallas acknowledged the fans’ sentiments, suggesting that the expectations set by Werner’s previous exploits have not been met since his move to Chelsea.

Furthermore, Gallas emphasized the importance of nurturing homegrown talents like Reece James and Connor Gallagher, urging Chelsea to retain players who embody the club’s identity despite potential financial challenges.

With upcoming fixtures against top opponents such as Real Madrid, the FA Cup semi-finals, and crucial Premier League clashes looming, Chelsea faces a pivotal period as they strive for success on multiple fronts.
