Former NJPW pillar Tama Tonga has officially signed with WWE and made a dramatic debut on Friday Night SmackDown by assaulting longtime The Bloodline member Jimmy Uso, shaking up the WWE landscape.

While not blood-related, Tama Tonga, son of Haku, is deeply connected to the prestigious Anoa’i Family, known for its wrestling legacy and ties to top stars.

Tama Tonga has been a prominent figure in NJPW since 2010, displaying exceptional talent and co-founding the influential Bullet Club stable.

His partnership with Tanga Loa as the Guerillas of Destiny has seen them capture seven IWGP Tag Team Championships and multiple NEVER Openweight titles.

On a post-WrestleMania XL SmackDown episode, Tama Tonga joined The Bloodline, promptly ambushing Jimmy Uso to insert himself into the faction.

It’s unclear if Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman orchestrated the attack, but it underscores The Bloodline’s resilience after Reigns’ championship loss to Cody Rhodes.
