Fourth of July Fishing Fun in Ocean City

The fishing scene in Ocean City was lively on the Fourth of July, with enthusiasts of all ages hitting the waters for a day of angling fun. Captain Kevin Twilley, accompanied by a young angler named Caspian Twilley, enjoyed a successful outing aboard the Fish Bound. Caspian, at just six years old, made quite an impression by helping out with baiting and scoring two sizable flounder catches.

Another highlight included Captain Dave Caffrey of On the Run Charters, who guided several successful flounder fishing trips in the bay, delighting his clients with keeper catches. Lamont Hilbert also found success at the OC Inlet, reeling in some keeper flounder amidst a crowded fishing area.

The crew aboard the Tortuga, operating out of Bahia Marina, had a remarkable day landing numerous keeper flounder, showcasing the abundant marine life in the region’s waters. Additionally, anglers like Mike Brockmeyer and Jasper Warehime had their share of fishing adventures, bagging keepers both offshore and inshore.

Not to be outdone, private boat McFish, with anglers including Remington Mowbray and Tommy McDonald, had a productive offshore trip reeling in a variety of tilefish species. On a more local scale, Capitan Chris Mizurak and Captain Monty Hawkins of the Morning Star enjoyed successful trips, each seeing a haul of quality catches.

Shifting to the onshore angling action, David Moore showcased his skills by landing a pair of impressive red drum catches along the shores of Assateague, capping off a day of memorable fishing escapades on the Fourth of July.
