Indianapolis 500 Fox Sports Broadcast

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Fox Sports is set to kick off its first broadcast of the Indianapolis 500 on May 25, featuring an impressive lineup that includes racing legends Tony Stewart and Danica Patrick. The coverage will feature 60 hours of live programming, allowing fans to experience ‘The Greatest Spectacle in Racing’ like never before.

Starting at 10 a.m. ET, the broadcast will be led by play-by-play announcer Will Buxton, joined by James Hinchcliffe and Townsend Bell, both seasoned Indy 500 veterans. The race itself will start at 12:45 p.m. ET on Fox, FOX Deportes, and the FOX Sports app.

Jamie Little, the first female pit reporter for the Indy 500 in 2004, will be back on pit road alongside reporters Kevin Lee and Georgia Henneberry. New this year is Jack Harvey, who will attempt to participate in the race and provide insights from behind the wheel.

Notable guests during the pre-race coverage include Stewart, who was crowned the 1997 INDYCAR SERIES champion, and Patrick, who became the first woman to lead laps in the Indy 500 in 2005 and finished third in 2009, the highest finish ever by a woman. They will join veteran broadcaster Chris Myers in a special secondary booth.

Aside from the racing insights, Tom Rinaldi will conduct feature interviews, including a special sit-down discussion with NASCAR champion Kyle Larson, who is attempting to compete in both the Indy 500 and the Coca-Cola 600 on the same day, often referred to as ‘The Double.’

In a unique twist, seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady will take a ride in the ‘Fastest Seat in Sports’ with former INDYCAR driver Jimmie Johnson, leading the field to the green flag. Michael Strahan will also drive the pace car while Rob Gronkowski will serve as the Grand Marshal for the Indy 500 Snake Pit.

On top of all this, FS1’s sports talk show ‘First Things First’ will broadcast live from Indianapolis on May 22 and 23, further enhancing the week’s excitement.

FOX Deportes will also contribute by broadcasting the Indy 500, with coverage beginning on May 22. The Spanish-language team includes announcer Tony Rivera and former INDYCAR driver Oriol Servia.

This revamped lineup marks a significant moment as Fox takes over broadcasting rights from NBC, enhancing what promises to be an exhilarating race day for motorsport fans.
