Garcelle Beauvais Exits RHOBH After Explosive Reunion, Citing Family and New Projects

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. — Actress Garcelle Beauvais announced her exit from Bravo‘s reality series The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills after five seasons, shocking fans with her unexpected departure. The announcement came on the morning of March 25, following a tumultuous reunion taping that aired previews just hours later.
The lead-in for this season’s reunion showcased Beauvais walking off set, visibly frustrated as she exclaimed, “I am just so f—— sick of it.” Amidst tensions and confrontations with co-stars, her emotional departure revealed the underlying issues that drove her decision to leave.
In a backstage moment, after changing out of her elaborate gown, Beauvais vented her frustrations, saying, “I can’t be friends with people like that. I don’t trust them. They’re all f—— a——-.” This candid statement highlighted the severity of her feelings toward the current dynamics within the cast.
Prior to her exit, Beauvais was called to address remarks she made during the season that some co-stars deemed hurtful. One notable example involved allegations about the marital troubles of Dorit and Paul Kemsley, which both Kemsleys denied. In response to questioning during the reunion, Beauvais defended her comments, stating, “Was I the only one that felt that way?” This interaction set the stage for heightened tensions leading to her abrupt exit.
Supporting cast member Sutton Stracke also found herself embroiled in intense discussions during the reunion, further emphasizing the friction among cast members. Kyle Richards, another significant player in the dynamics, faced scrutiny for not addressing rumors about her personal life, with Daniella, the reunion’s host and executive producer, stating, “Putting out ? You can’t have your cake and eat it too.” The environment was rife with speculation and confrontations that likely contributed to Beauvais’s decision to leave.
However, in a subsequent social media statement, Beauvais attributed her departure to a combination of family commitments and new career opportunities. “One of the reasons why I’m leaving is my family, my boys. Their last year of high school is next year and I want to be a part of that,” she explained, expressing her desire to support her son Jaid in his new career path as well. “I have the most exciting projects that I am developing, producing, and acting in — I can’t tell you anything now but you’ll know soon,” she teased, indicating future endeavors on the horizon.
Beauvais’s departure marks a significant moment in the show’s history as she was the first Black Housewife to join the cast upon her debut in Season 10. Reflecting on the support from her fans, she remarked, “You guys have cheered me on, supported me, and sometimes even fought for me or on my behalf. It means a lot and I hope you guys will continue on this journey with me.”
Although there were tense moments during her tenure, including moderate conflict with co-stars, Beauvais hinted at a potential return to the franchise in the future. “Andy Cohen says I can come back anytime, the door will always be open, so you never know, I might pop back in sometime. It’s not goodbye, it’s see you later,” she said, leaving fans with a glimmer of hope for her reappearance.
As the reunion trailer dropped, co-stars Erika Jayne and Bozoma Saint John discussed Beauvais’s dramatic exit. Reflecting on the situation, Saint John expressed disappointment that Beauvais left under such circumstances, wishing she could have navigated another season. Jayne, known for her candid nature, also maintained a critical tone while acknowledging her past challenges, telling Beauvais, “I just really wish you stuck it out. I know that I’ve been catty tonight, but I just wish you stuck it out.”
The season 14 reunion of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills continues next Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
