George Strait Chris Stapleton Pittsburgh Concert

PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA — Country music icons George Strait and Chris Stapleton are set to perform at Acrisure Stadium on Saturday, May 31, 2025, with Parker McCollum serving as the special guest. The concert marks Strait’s return to Pittsburgh after a 15-year absence, having last performed there on October 14, 2010.

Strait, known as the ‘King of Country Music,’ is a powerhouse in the genre, boasting an impressive record of 60 No. 1 hits, the most of any artist in history. The 71-year-old artist released his latest album, ‘Cowboys and Dreamers,’ in 2024 and remains an active presence in the music scene, citing a passion for performing.

‘I keep trying to slow down a bit but you keep calling me back. Please don’t ever stop. I still love it just as much as I always have,’ Strait said in a recent statement. He expressed gratitude for the support he received last year and anticipation for upcoming shows.

Chris Stapleton, an 11-time Grammy winner renowned for his captivating vocal style, will share the stage as a co-headliner. Stapleton’s accolades include the Grammy Award for Best Country Solo Performance for his hit ‘It Takes a Woman’ earlier this year.

The upcoming concert at Acrisure Stadium will be one of three major shows planned for the venue in 2025. Other notable performances include AC/DC on May 8 and Billy Joel with Rod Stewart on July 5.

Tickets for the concert will go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. on February 21. Presale tickets will be available earlier for George Strait and Chris Stapleton fan club members on February 18, and for Parker McCollum fan club members, Spotify users, and Acrisure Stadium patrons on February 19. American Express cardholders will have presale access starting February 20.

This concert will be part of a series of stadium shows for Strait in 2025, which includes performances in Philadelphia, Buffalo, Foxborough, Massachusetts, and Inglewood, California. Last year, Strait attracted a record-setting crowd of over 110,000 fans during his Texas A&M concert, holding the record for the highest ticketed concert attendance in U.S. history.

Parker McCollum, who headlined UPMC Events Center in 2023, rounds out the lineup as an energetic opening act. McCollum expressed excitement for joining such esteemed artists, adding to the anticipation for the evening.

With this tour, George Strait continues to solidify his legacy in country music, bringing together fans for an unforgettable musical experience.
