Montreal, Canada – Georges St-Pierre, one of the greatest mixed martial artists of all time, attended UFC 315 on May 10, 2025, sharing his insights on the sport and participating in fan events.

St-Pierre, a former UFC welterweight and middleweight champion, took part in a fan Q&A where he was asked to identify his picks for the MMA Mount Rushmore. He highlighted several legendary fighters, but his top choice surprised some fans.

“There are a lot of guys that can be there,” St-Pierre said. He mentioned fellow champions but initially left out a significant name, realizing later he should include David Loiseau, the first French-speaking Canadian to fight in the UFC.

“For me, David Loiseau is my number one,” St-Pierre remarked, emphasizing the impact Loiseau had on the sport’s growth in Canada.

Not only was St-Pierre there to engage with fans, but he also has key responsibilities on fight night. He will be cornering his teammate as they face Jose Aldo. St-Pierre expressed enthusiasm about the possibility of presenting the welterweight belt to the main event winner later in the evening, stating it would be an “honor.”

UFC 315 also features a match between seasoned competitors as Bekzat Almakhan secured his first victory in the organization with a stunning TKO over two-time The Ultimate Fighter winner, Katona.

Almakhan, quick on his feet, delivered a decisive uppercut just one minute into the first round, earning applause from the Montreal crowd and marking his rebirth in the bantamweight division.

As fans enjoyed the ongoing events at UFC 315, the MMA community continues to speculate about Conor McGregor’s return after a four-year hiatus since his last fight in 2021. All eyes remain on whether he will make a comeback as negotiations have stalled.
