Jaden Harris Miami Hurricanes Football Safety

The Georgia Bulldogs have bolstered their 2025 roster with the addition of Miami safety Jaden Harris, who committed to the program via the transfer portal. Harris, a standout from Atlanta’s Riverwood High School, brings two years of eligibility and a solid track record from his time with the Hurricanes.

Harris started 13 games for Miami this past season, recording 40 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, 2 pass breakups, and an interception. His performance has made him a valuable asset for Georgia, which is looking to strengthen its defensive backfield following the departure of key players to the NFL and other programs.

Georgia has been active in the transfer portal, also securing commitments from USC safety Zion Branch and wide receiver Zachariah Branch. These additions come as the Bulldogs face the loss of several players, including cornerback Julian Humphrey and outside linebacker Sam M’Pemba, who are transferring to Texas A&M, and defensive lineman Jamaal Jarrett, who is headed to USC.

Harris’s commitment is particularly timely as Georgia prepares for the upcoming season with a focus on rebuilding its defensive lineup. The Bulldogs have also signed five defensive backs in the 2025 recruiting cycle, signaling a strong emphasis on shoring up their secondary.

With the transfer portal window closing soon, Georgia’s coaching staff is working diligently to finalize their roster. The team has until 11:59 p.m. on Jan. 7 to make additional moves, ensuring they are well-prepared for the challenges ahead.
