El Grande Americano Set for WrestleMania Showdown with Rey Mysterio

LAS VEGAS, Nevada — El Grande Americano will make his much-anticipated WrestleMania debut against legendary luchador Rey Mysterio on April 19, 2024, following a dramatic announcement made during Monday Night Raw.

The match was confirmed after Americano, alongside Brutus and Julius Creed, defeated the LWO team of Dragon Lee, Joaquin Wilde, and Cruz Del Toro in a six-man tag team match. Mysterio, who was observing ringside during the bout, witnessed Americano utilize an illegal steel plate hidden in his mask for powerful headbutts on both him and Lee, ultimately aiding American Made in their victory.

Raw General Manager Adam Pearce agreed to Mysterio’s demand for a WrestleMania match later that night. Mysterio was visibly frustrated by the events of the match and insisted on facing Americano on the grand stage, leading to the matchup’s official confirmation.
