Green Day Announces 2024 Summer Stadium Tour with Special Performances of Dookie and American Idiot

Legendary pop-punk band Green Day announced their highly anticipated 2024 summer stadium tour, with a twist that will surely excite fans. During their recent appearance on The Howard Stern Show, the band revealed that they will be performing their iconic albums Dookie and American Idiot in their entirety to celebrate their respective anniversaries – 30 years for Dookie and 20 years for American Idiot.

The announcement comes as Green Day gears up for the release of their fourteenth studio album, Saviors, which is set to drop on January 19, 2024. To celebrate the album’s release, the band will perform at New York City’s legendary Irving Plaza on January 18, as part of the SiriusXM Small Stage Series presented by Carnival Cruise Line. This exclusive concert will give SiriusXM subscribers a chance to experience live performances of songs from Saviors before its official release, along with other beloved fan favorites. Notably, this will be Green Day’s fourth time performing at Irving Plaza since their debut in 1994.

In the lead-up to the album release, Green Day is treating fans to a dedicated SiriusXM channel, Green Day Radio, available on channel 107 in cars and on the SiriusXM app until January 23. Through Green Day Radio, listeners can delve into the band’s world by not only exploring their greatest hits but also gaining insight into the making of their newest album. Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Tré Cool will personally share stories and anecdotes about their biggest tracks, including additional demos from the 30th anniversary deluxe edition of Dookie. They will also discuss each song from Saviors as they become available.

Green Day Radio will also be a platform to discover the artists who have influenced the band’s illustrious career. Expect to hear classic rock acts like AC/DC, punk rock icons such as Hüsker Dü and Ramones, as well as contemporary artists Green Day currently enjoys, such as Ultra Q and The Interrupters.
