Green Declares He’s Single During Podcast Chat Amid Romance Rumors

Nashville, TN — Singer-songwriter Jesse Green shared his relationship status during the premiere episode of a podcast on March 3. When asked by host Eric Gunderson if he is dating anyone, the 36-year-old artist simply replied, “Single,” with a chuckle.

Gunderson pressed on, asking, “How single?” to which Green responded, “Pretty damn,” before shifting the conversation to other topics. Reps for Green and fellow artist Lainey Moroney did not immediately respond to requests for comment from PEOPLE.

In the same podcast episode, Green expressed his admiration for Moroney’s vocals, reflecting on their past collaboration with Brooks & Dunn. “You know, I went to listen to it and my favorite song on there is not mine. She did ‘Ain’t Nothing ‘Bout You,'” he said. “I wish I would’ve done that, but it’s so hard to take something that was already right and make it your own or try to make it better. That was one of those where it was almost kind of rock-feeling. A really cool version of it,” he added.

Although Green and Moroney have not yet collaborated directly, they recently performed the song “Don’t Mind If I Do” together. Speculation regarding their romantic status began in January when fans noticed that Moroney appeared to be vacationing with Green. According to social media posts, Moroney tagged Saint Barthélemy as her location, and Green shared similar photos that led fans to believe they stayed at the same resort.

In another clue, a fan pointed out that Moroney was seen wearing what looked like Green’s hat in her Instagram Stories. Previously, Green dated artist manager Sophia Sansone and has been connected to songwriter Jessica Lynn and Langley, a collaborator. Moroney, on her part, has clarified her past relationships, ensuring fans she is currently single.
