Grigor Dimitrov Withdraws from ATP Geneva Tournament, Citing Health Issues

GENEVA, Switzerland – Bulgarian tennis player Grigor Dimitrov has withdrawn from the ATP 250 tournament in Geneva due to medical reasons. The former world No. 3, who was set to compete as the fourth seed, is no longer listed in the tournament’s participant roster.
Dimitrov’s decision to pull out came just a few days before the competition’s start. His last appearance was at the Masters in Rome, where he was eliminated in the opening round by Italian player Francesco Passaro.
The Geneva tournament’s top seed is American Taylor Fritz, followed by Serbia’s Novak Djokovic, who has entered with a wildcard. Other top eight players include Casper Ruud, Tomasz Machac, Karen Khachanov, Alexei Popyrin, Hubert Hurkacz, and Alex Michelsen.
Last year, Dimitrov reached the final in Geneva but lost to Chilean Nicolas Jarry in a tightly contested match. His withdrawal marks a setback as he looks to regain form on the ATP Tour.
