Hallmark Channel Kicks Off ‘Countdown to Christmas’ with Star-Studded Lineup

Hallmark Channel is set to commence its much-anticipated “Countdown to Christmas” programming this week, marking the beginning of its first holiday-themed movie of the season. The programming will launch on October 18 and will continue throughout December. The annual event will showcase a multitude of actors, including some familiar faces, and new holiday movies, featuring a cameo by Donna Kelce, the mother of NFL stars.

This year’s “Countdown to Christmas,” now in its 15th iteration, will debut with the film “‘Twas the Date Before Christmas” on Friday, October 18, at 8 p.m. ET. The film stars Robert Buckley and Amy Groening, introducing viewers to characters engaged in unique holiday traditions and budding romances.

The programming will include a broad lineup of new movies airing on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays at 8 p.m. ET on Hallmark Channel. Even on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 28, the channel will debut a new Christmas movie.

Amongst the highlights is “Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story,” featuring a cameo by Donna Kelce. She will also appear in another Christmas movie titled “Christmas On Call,” alongside Sara Canning and Ser’Darius Blain, adding a unique touch to the films this season.
