Merry Christmas, Ted Cooper! Hallmark Movie

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — The Hallmark Channel is set to premiere its latest Christmas movie, “Merry Christmas, Ted Cooper!” on Saturday, October 25. The film features actors Kimberley Sustad and Robert Buckley, who bring their unique charm to the story.

Buckley, known for his roles on “iZombie” and “One Tree Hill,” plays Ted Cooper, a local weatherman with a knack for attracting holiday mishaps. His co-star, Kimberley Sustad, portrays Hope, a doctor at the emergency room where Ted finds himself after a series of unfortunate events.

In the film, Ted’s bad luck during the Christmas season leads to hilarious situations, including getting hit on the head by a box of Christmas lights and reuniting with his old crush. “There’s an instant, flirtatious connection between the two, setting the stage for a light-hearted romantic comedy,” said Liz Kocan, a commentator on the film.

Sustad, who has starred in several Hallmark projects, balances a tightly wound demeanor with sharp comedic timing throughout the film. She previously appeared in notable Christmas movie “The Santa Class,” gaining popularity amongst Hallmark fans.

<pThe film’s writer, Russell Hainline, previously penned a successful holiday film for Netflix and aims to deliver a similarly entertaining experience with "Merry Christmas, Ted Cooper!" Despite being categorized as a typical Hallmark production, Kocan argues that it includes running gags and solid humor that make it enjoyable for all ages.

As Kocan remarks, Hallmark films often receive criticism for being predictable, yet “Merry Christmas, Ted Cooper!” showcases a mix of charm and comedy that may prove it’s not just another holiday flick. Viewers can catch the movie on the Hallmark Channel or streaming through various services.
