Honda Recalls 259,000 Vehicles Over Brake Pedal Issue

DETROIT, Mich. — Honda Motor is recalling 259,033 vehicles in the United States due to a faulty brake pedal that might shift out of position, increasing the risk of crashes or injuries, the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reported on Wednesday.
The recall involves several specific models, including the 2021-2025 Acura TLX, 2023-2025 Acura MDX, and 2023-2025 Honda Pilot, with the Honda Pilot making up the majority of the affected vehicles.
The problem arises from a defect that could cause the brake pedal to move from its intended position. Even though Honda estimates that only about 1 percent of the recalled vehicles may actually have this defect, the company is prioritizing customer safety by issuing the recall.
Dealers were informed about the brake pedal issue on June 13, and Honda plans to send owner notification letters by July 28. Customers with vehicles included in this recall are encouraged to visit their dealership, where technicians will inspect their brake pedals and replace any faulty parts if needed.
For further information, vehicle owners can check their vehicle status through Honda’s official channels.
