J-Hope Discusses BTS’s Growth Ahead of 2025 Reunion

Seoul, South Korea — J-Hope of BTS opened up in a recent interview about the growth he and his bandmates experienced during their time apart. In an interview aired on the Zach Sang Show, posted on May 6, J-Hope discussed how their individual journeys as solo artists have prepared them for their upcoming reunion in 2025.

The members of BTS took a break to fulfill their military obligations, during which they also released independent music. J-Hope, who was discharged in late 2024, emphasized the importance of personal development during this time. “In order to make music as a team in a healthy way, we each go through personal growth and growing pains that come with it,” he said.

As members RM, Suga, Jung Kook, Jimin, and V near the completion of their military service, fans are eagerly anticipating the group’s return. J-Hope explained that their individual experiences and newfound insights will enrich BTS’s collective sound. “Everyone has grown while pursuing their solo projects. I think that will contribute to the music we create as BTS,” he added.

J-Hope, who released his album “Jack in the Box” and the EP “Hope on the Street Vol. 1” during his time apart from the group, discussed his excitement in returning to music. After his military service, he went directly to Los Angeles to reconnect with the culture and creativity that inspires him. “I wanted to quickly dive back into the places and the culture I loved,” he said.

While speaking about the group’s future plans after the enlistments, Zane Lowe of Apple Music 1 revealed that the band has plans to meet up soon. “We will quickly get together and talk about what BTS can do in the future,” he referenced. J-Hope expressed optimism about their collective comeback. “I think it’s going to be a massive energy,” he said.
