Indycar Racing 2025 Season Schedule

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The 2025 IndyCar season is fast approaching, bringing with it fierce competition and a lineup of seasoned drivers eager to add to their legacies. Champions like Scott Dixon, who boasts 58 wins and six championships, aim to solidify their standings in series history.

Scott Dixon, a native of Australia who represents New Zealand, has made a name for himself in the sport. With the 2025 season set to include 17 races, all broadcast on Fox, he is anticipated to make his mark once again. ‘I’m excited for the upcoming season; it’s about time we race again,’ Dixon stated recently.

Joining Dixon in the contender spotlight is Alex Palou from Chip Ganassi Racing, who is pursuing his third consecutive points championship. Palou has secured 11 series wins and 31 podium finishes over five seasons. Despite a contractual dispute with McLaren, which has led to mediation, Palou remains focused. ‘At the end of the day, the track is where it all matters,’ he said.

Another significant figure is Scott McLaughlin, who finished third in the points in 2024 and is keen for a championship run. McLaughlin, who previously excelled in the Australian Supercars series, joined Team Penske in 2021 and is known for his pole position start at the Indianapolis 500. His wife Karly Paone and daughter Lucy provide him with family support throughout the competitive season.

Elevating the intrigue, Alexander Rossi, the 2016 Indianapolis 500 champion, is making waves by teaming up with Ed Carpenter Racing after two years with Arrow McLaren. Rossi’s return to a new team has fans curious about how he will adapt and challenge for supremacy on the track. ‘There’s a lot of potential with this new team, and I’m excited to showcase that,’ Rossi expressed.

Christian Rasmussen is also back for the 2025 season, having competed in 13 races last year with Ed Carpenter Racing. Originally from Copenhagen, he won his first go-kart championship at age 9, and is striving to build on that early success. ‘Every year is a chance to grow as a driver, and I’m looking forward to taking on new challenges,’ Rasmussen remarked.

Alongside these seasoned racers, the schedule promises thrilling races starting with the opener at St. Petersburg, Florida, on March 2, followed by 16 other exciting events. Viewers can look forward to race days featuring downtown street courses, road courses, and ovals, culminating in the Indianapolis 500. ’This season is packed with potential,’ said a league representative. ‘Fans should get ready for some fast-paced action.’
