Inter Miami Vs Club Olimpia Deportivo Match Highlights Stadium Fans Celebration

SAN PEDRO SULA, HondurasInter Miami concludes its Latin America preseason tour Saturday, Feb. 10, against Club Olimpia Deportivo at the Estadio Olimpico Metropolitano. The Herons are coming off their first preseason victory, a 3-1 win over Sporting San Miguelito in Peru, where new signings Tadeo Allende and Fafa Picault scored their first goals for the club.

The match marks Javier Mascherano‘s second game as manager after securing his first win in the previous outing. Mascherano, the former Barcelona and Argentina midfielder, is expected to continue testing his tactical system ahead of the upcoming season. Inter Miami will return home to face Orlando City SC in its final preseason match before the Concacaf Champions Cup opener against Sporting Kansas City.

Mascherano’s potential starting lineup features a blend of experience and new talent. Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez, both former Barcelona stars, are expected to lead the attack, while Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets, also from Barcelona, are likely to start in defense and midfield, respectively. Allende and Picault, who scored in the last match, could earn another start, alongside midfielder Yannick Bright and goalkeeper Oscar Ustari.

‘We are building something here, and every game is a step forward,’ Mascherano said after the Peru match. ‘The players are adapting well, and the results will come as we continue to work.’

The game will be streamed for free on Inter Miami’s website, offering fans a glimpse of the team’s preparations for the 2024 MLS season. The Herons open their league campaign at home against New York City FC later this month.
