Jaylen Brown Boston Celtics Hair Loss

Boston, MA – Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown addressed comments about his hairline during a live Twitch stream on Tuesday night. The player joked, “I’m cooked ngl” while being “shaved” by friends as he faced the online chatter.

Brown humorously blamed the media and pressure related to his career. “I blame Boston. Ten years of stress, the media, the championships. Y’all caused this,” he said.

He also made a playful call to Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James, asking in a voicemail, “I need to know, Turkey or no Turkey?” The question refers to hair transplant options, a topic that resonates with athletes under public scrutiny.

Since being drafted third overall by the Celtics in 2016, Brown has been a key player, helping the team achieve significant success. The Celtics lead the NBA in total wins and secured a championship in 2024, making Brown the franchise’s first finals MVP since 2008.

This season, the Celtics are navigating challenges, especially with teammate Jayson Tatum rehabbing from an Achilles injury. The team began the new season with lower expectations, sporting a 1-3 record entering their matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers but remains competitive, ranking ninth in defensive efficiency.

Despite the slow start, Brown is having a strong season, averaging a team-high 26 points with a shooting percentage of 50. He is also on track for a career-high in free throw attempts. In a recent game against the Cavaliers, Brown scored 30 points, leading his team to a 125-105 victory.

After the game, Brown reflected on the attention surrounding his hair. “It was my birthday, so I was feeling great to be honest,” he shared. He acknowledged the significance of having a day dedicated to him in Boston, saying, “I’m not sure how many athletes have the privilege of having their own day, but that was my birthday.”
