JISOO’s Debut Mini-Album AMORTAGE Released on Valentine’s Day

SEOUL, South Korea — K-pop sensation JISOO marked her 30th birthday with the release of her highly anticipated solo mini-album, AMORTAGE, on February 14, 2025.

The four-track mini-album features songs titled “Earthquake,” “Your Love,” “Tears,” and “Hugs & Kisses.” All tracks were produced by Blissoo and The Wavys, with JISOO co-writing the songs alongside collaborators including Jordan Roman. The unique title AMORTAGE reflects a mash-up of various artistic elements, highlighting her creative journey.

JISOO, who made her solo debut in 2023 with singles “FLOWER” and “All Eyes on Me,” is now stepping forward with AMORTAGE as her first full project outside of BLACKPINK. The group has achieved remarkable success, with nine songs on the Billboard Hot 100 and their album, Born Pink, becoming the third South Korean album to top the Billboard 200 charts. In 2023, BLACKPINK also made history as the first K-pop act to headline Coachella.

The release of AMORTAGE marks a significant milestone for JISOO, following her global label deal with Warner Records signed in January. “I’m excited about this new era and the continuation of my musical journey,” she stated. “I feel like I’m just getting started, and I’d like to thank the BLINKs for all of their love and support. As part of the rollout for AMORTAGE, JISOO also released the music video for its lead single, “Earthquake,” showcasing a narrative that contrasts her mundane office life with the excitement brought by her loved one. The video depicts JISOO as an office worker whose day is made brighter by a text from her partner, followed by a series of imaginative and dramatic sequences that blur the lines between reality and fantasy.

In the music video, JISOO navigates a storyline where she faces a lie detector test, humorously declaring, “he hits me like an earthquake” to convey the impact of her love. The energetic visuals, complemented by JISOO’s strong vocals and catchy choreography, create a vibrant and engaging performance, making “Earthquake” a standout track on the album.
