JISOO Teases Surprise Duet with Zayn Malik Ready for Release

BLACKPINK‘s JISOO has hinted at a surprise duet with Zayn Malik from One Direction. On October 6, JISOO posted a teaser image on social media showing a shadowed male figure behind her, with the words “EYESCLOSED” written on it. She captioned the post, “A duet is near.” A follow-up post moved the figure closer with a caption saying, “two voices, one orbit. coming soon.” Fans quickly speculated the shadowed figure was Zayn.

Previously, Zayn attended BLACKPINK’s concert in New York on July 27, along with his daughter Khai. After the performance, he posted a photo on Instagram praising BLACKPINK, further sparking interest in a possible collaboration.

The upcoming duet, titled “Eyes Closed,” will be JISOO’s first release after her solo EP, “Amortage,” which came out in February. This EP featured tracks such as “Earthquake” and “Hugs & Kisses.” JISOO is currently on BLACKPINK’s Deadline World Tour, set to continue in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, on October 18.

On October 8, JISOO revealed a preview snippet of the song on her YouTube channel. The duet showcases the distinctive harmonies of both artists and is described as a blend of JISOO’s warm tone and Zayn’s deep voice.
