John Cena Returns to SmackDown with Big Matches Scheduled

Lexington, Kentucky – WWE Friday Night SmackDown is set for June 13, 2025, at 8 p.m. ET, live from the Rupp Arena. The show promises an action-packed night featuring key matchups and the return of Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena.
Cena makes his return after a controversial tag team match at Money in the Bank, where he and Logan Paul lost to Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso. Following that, Cena confronted CM Punk on Raw, resulting in an official title match announced for WWE Night of Champions.
Fans can expect to hear what Cena, who calls himself the ‘Last Real Champion,’ will have to say upon taking the mic. His returning presence adds a layer of anticipation for the show.
United States Champion Jacob Fatu is also scheduled to speak. After overshadowing Solo Sikoa in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match, Fatu aims to address his actions before the WWE Universe tonight.
New Ms. Money in the Bank Naomi will also appear, fresh off her victory over Rhea Ripley, Alexa Bliss, and others. This will be Naomi’s first appearance on SmackDown as the holder of the coveted briefcase.
Additionally, the King of the Ring Tournament will feature intense competition. Cody Rhodes, Damian Priest, Andrade, and Shinsuke Nakamura will vie for a semifinals spot, while Randy Orton, LA Knight, Aleister Black, and Carmelo Hayes will compete in a Fatal 4-Way match for the same opportunity.
In the women’s division, the Queen of the Ring Tournament heats up with matches involving Alexa Bliss, Charlotte Flair, Chelsea Green, and Candice LeRae. Jade Cargill, Michin, Nia Jax, and Piper Niven will clash in the first round of their tournament as well.
Fans are encouraged not to miss all the action tonight at 8 p.m. ET on the USA Network, as WWE SmackDown promises to deliver thrilling encounters and pivotal storylines.
