Jon Bon Jovi’s Son Jake Bongiovi Makes Film Debut in Rock ‘n’ Roll Comedy ‘Rockbottom’
Jake Bongiovi, son of legendary rock star Jon Bon Jovi, is set to make his film debut in the upcoming rock ‘n’ roll comedy ‘Rockbottom,’ where he embodies his inner rock star. The movie revolves around an ’80s hair metal band named CougarSnake who stage an unexpected comeback.
The trailer of the film, revealed exclusively by DailyMail.com, showcases Jake, 21, in a transformative role as he transitions from a pizza delivery boy to the lead singer of the aging rock band. Sporting a retro ginger mullet, the resemblance between Jake and his father in the late 1980s is striking.
McKaley Miller’s character in the movie, Alex Rockbottom, introduces the storyline of the band CougarSnake, highlighting how they went from the pinnacle of success to hitting ‘rock bottom’ in the past. Fast forward 35 years, and a young music sensation, Bryce Cooper played by Brandon Butler, reveals that the forgotten band is his biggest inspiration.
Tom Everett Scott portrays Jesse Rockbottom, a former member of CougarSnake and Alex’s father in the film. His decision to reunite the band for a charity concert sets the stage for the story, with a missing lead singer becoming the central challenge.
The film, directed by SFX makeup expert Todd Tucker and co-written with Greg Zekowski, is a comedic tale of second chances in rock ‘n’ roll. Set to premiere on Prime Video on March 28, ‘Rockbottom’ promises to be a nostalgic yet fresh take on the music industry.
Jake Bongiovi and Millie Bobby Brown, the ‘Stranger Things’ actress, are engaged and set to tie the knot soon. Their relationship milestones have been closely followed by fans and the media, adding to the anticipation surrounding Jake’s burgeoning acting career.
