Kansas City, MO – The Kansas City Chiefs have seen their share of highs and lows since establishing dominance in the AFC in 2019. One recent move that didn’t pan out has caught the attention of NFL fans this season.

In 2024, the Chiefs traded for linebacker Josh Uche from the New England Patriots, exchanging a sixth-round pick in 2026. Unfortunately for Kansas City, Uche had a muted performance during his brief time with the team. He played in six games, making just 10 total tackles while spending more time on special teams than on defense.

Now with the Philadelphia Eagles, Uche is attracting attention for his offseason performance. Lane Johnson, a veteran offensive lineman for the Eagles, praised Uche’s skills, recalling his time with the Patriots. Johnson believes that Uche’s strengths will make him a valuable player in Philadelphia.

Uche, a second-round pick in 2020, showcased his potential during the 2022 season, achieving a career-high 11.5 sacks over 15 games. Although that season was not typical of his overall career, such impressive stats raise hopes for his future contributions.

While Uche struggled in Kansas City, the Chiefs are focused on their successful journey ahead rather than dwelling on past setbacks. The franchise remains committed to building for the future, prioritizing long-term success over individual performances.
