Joshua Van Faces Bruno Silva at UFC 316 on June 7

NEWARK, N.J. — Joshua Van (13-2 MMA, 6-1 UFC) is set to face Bruno Silva (14-6-2 MMA, 4-3 UFC) at UFC 316, scheduled for June 7 at Prudential Center. This matchup marks Van’s fifth promotional bout within an 11-month span, underscoring his status as one of the most active fighters on the roster.
Both competitors confirmed their participation on social media following an initial report by Eurosport NL. Van, only 23 years old, enters this fight having achieved a three-fight winning streak, with recent victories against Edgar Chairez, Cody Durden, and Rei Tsuruya.
“I train hard and I’m always ready to fight,” Van stated. “This is what I love to do, and I can’t wait to get back in that octagon.”
Silva, who is 35, aims to regain momentum after a recent loss to Manel Kape, breaking a four-fight win streak he previously enjoyed, which included notable wins over JP Buys, Victor Rodriguez, Tyson Nam, and also Cody Durden. Silva remains focused on reclaiming his spot as a title contender in the bantamweight division.
“I know what it takes to win, and I will show it on fight night,” Silva said. “I respect Van, but I won’t back down.”
With this addition, the UFC 316 fight card continues to build excitement, promising an action-packed evening for fight fans. As both fighters prepare to clash on June 7, expectations grow around their contrast in styles and determination to climb the rankings.
