Joy Taylor Misses FS1 Shows Amid Legal Controversy

LOS ANGELES, California — Joy Taylor, host of FS1‘s ‘Speak‘, has not appeared on the show for three consecutive days, raising concerns about her current status at Fox Sports. Sources informed Front Office Sports that Taylor has been “sidelined” by the network, although the specifics surrounding her absence remain unclear.
A spokesperson for Fox Sports declined to provide details regarding Taylor’s absence, and a representative for Taylor did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Taylor’s unexplained missed shows occurred on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of this week; however, her co-host Keyshawn Johnson merely noted her absence without further elaboration.
This situation comes on the heels of Taylor being named in a high-profile 42-page lawsuit filed earlier this year by a former Fox hairstylist. The lawsuit, which also implicated ex-FS1 personality Skip Bayless and FS1 head Charlie Dixon, contains allegations of sexual misconduct. Following these accusations, Dixon was placed on leave prior to the Super Bowl.
Despite the chaos surrounding the network, Taylor previously returned to host her weekday show alongside Keyshawn Johnson and Paul Pierce after having attended the Super Bowl events in New Orleans. However, she has now missed several days of her primary hosting duties without explanation.
While remaining visible in the Los Angeles area, including a recent appearance at a Lakers-Mavericks game, Taylor’s absence from ‘Speak’ has led to speculation about her future at FS1. Further complicating the matter, she is facing a lawsuit alleging ethnic harassment from former employee Nizar Faraji, who added Taylor to a legal case that is pushed to be dismissed by Fox’s attorneys.
A spokesperson for Taylor contested the allegations, stating, “The claims set forth against Ms. Taylor are devoid of merit and appear to have been strategically framed to create unwarranted publicity rather than to seek legitimate redress.” In her legal response, Taylor has denied all allegations.
Joy Taylor has been with FS1 since 2016, earning recognition as the former moderator for ‘Undisputed’ and co-host of ‘The Herd’ before taking over as the lead host on ‘Speak’. As developments unfold regarding her situation, Taylor’s fans and industry insiders remain attentive to any forthcoming updates.
