Jude Bellingham Faces Surgery Decision Amidst Shoulder Struggles

Madrid, Spain – Jude Bellingham is facing increasing pressure to undergo surgery on his troubled shoulder as the Real Madrid midfielder continues to struggle with the injury. This comes after a dislocated shoulder in November 2023 during a match against Rayo Vallecano.
The 20-year-old, who has dealt with shoulder issues since his time at Borussia Dortmund from 2020 to 2023, has been spotted wearing shoulder support on multiple occasions. After dislocating his shoulder, he played in the match but subsequently missed two games for Real Madrid and two Euro 2024 qualifiers for England.
Despite speculation about surgery during the off-season, Bellingham opted against the procedure at that time. However, it appears the injury persists, as evidenced during Real’s recent 1-0 win over Getafe, where a medical staff member spent more than a minute strapping up his left shoulder before he joined the game in the second half.
With the end of the season approaching and the FIFA Club World Cup scheduled for June, Bellingham must now consider whether to finally undergo the surgery he previously avoided. In December, he addressed his injury, stating, “It’s OK. I’m still in the sling, which is a little uncomfortable, but the overall feeling is pretty good.”
Fans are increasingly vocal about their concerns on social media, urging the young star to take the necessary steps to address his shoulder issue. Comments range from pleas for him to get surgery to calls for the club to facilitate the process. One user expressed, “He needs to get that surgery done ASAP,” while another added, “Bro should just have the surgery already and forget about this season.” The consensus among fans seems to lean towards prioritizing Bellingham’s long-term health over the current season’s pursuits.
