Juventus Faces Udinese After Long Winless Streak
MILANO, Italy — Juventus looks to end an eight-match winless streak as they host Udinese today at 6:30 PM CET. This challenging time for the home team follows the recent firing of coach Tudor.
Juventus’ French defender spoke candidly to Dazn, expressing the pressure the team feels. “These are always difficult days because you feel guilty. Today, we must focus on this match. Eight games without a win is significant, and we talk in the locker room to find solutions. We know we need to react,” he said.
The Udinese defender acknowledged the challenge of facing Juventus, stating, “I don’t know if it’s the best time to confront them because when under pressure, they often perform better, but today our focus is on ourselves.”
Images of Juventus players entering the field for warm-ups were met with boos from the sparse crowd, indicating the fans’ frustration. Juventus (3-4-1-2) will have Di Gregorio in goal, with defenders Kalulu, Gatti, and Kelly. The midfield includes Cambiaso, Locatelli, McKennie, and Kostic, while Yildiz supports strikers Openda and Vlahovic.
Udinese (3-5-2), on the other hand, will be in their yellow away kit. Goalkeeper Okoye will lead their defense, backed by Goglichidze, Kabasele, and Solet. The team is looking to build on their recent win against Inter.
Referee Marco Di Bello, from the Brindisi section, will oversee the match, with assistants Marcello Rossi and Filippo Bercigli. The match will be streamed live on Dazn and available on Sky channel 214.
Historically, Juventus has performed well against Udinese, winning six of their last seven home matches in Serie A, keeping clean sheets in each of those victories. The last time Juventus and Udinese drew in Torino was in 1990.
Both teams are eager for a strong performance, with Juventus desperate for a win while Udinese aims to build momentum after their recent success.
