JYP Entertainment Tops TIME’s Best Companies for Sustainable Growth in 2026

SEOUL, South Korea — JYP Entertainment has again secured the top spot on TIME‘s annual ranking of the World’s Best Companies in Sustainable Growth for 2026. Announced on November 12, the South Korean entertainment agency outperformed 500 global companies with a remarkable score of 97.59.

The ranking measures both financial performance and environmental impact, assessing factors such as carbon footprint, water usage, and renewable energy adoption. JYP has shown consistent growth while maintaining a strong commitment to sustainability.

CEO Jung Wook stated, “JYP has continued to drive innovation in the global music industry while maintaining steady growth.” He highlighted the company’s 2050 Carbon Neutrality Roadmap and its status as the first firm in the domestic entertainment sector to operate on 100% renewable energy.

According to Statista, which collaborates with TIME on this ranking, “What’s clear is that JYP delivers outstanding results across all evaluation categories.” The assessment is based on performance in sustainable development, financial health, and environmental impact, with each category receiving equal weight.

Last year, JYP was ranked third worldwide, indicating a significant leap in sustainability performance. The agency is recognized for its extensive efforts in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives, becoming the first Korean entertainment company to commit to RE100, a global initiative aimed at increasing the use of renewable energy.

In a sustainability report released in June, JYP emphasized its goal to embed sustainability and diversity in its operations. Jung Wook mentioned, “We are committed to actively responding to climate change and contributing to a healthier planet.” The company has also achieved an ‘AA’ grade in ESG Management Evaluation by Sustinvest.

Beyond corporate responsibilities, JYP is dedicated to various community initiatives. Its slogan, “Every Dream Matters,” encapsulates the company’s focus on medical support for critically ill children and environmental campaigns to foster a positive social impact.
