Kai Cenat Mafiathon 2 Swatting Incident

Kai Cenat, one of the most popular Twitch streamers, is currently in the midst of his highly anticipated Mafiathon 2 event. However, the stream has been marred by a serious and alarming swatting incident. On November 3, 2024, during the live stream, Cenat noticed a helicopter hovering above his residence, prompting him to alert his production team and viewers about the situation.

The incident led to a brief suspension of Cenat’s Twitch account for approximately six minutes, marking his sixth suspension on the platform. Cenat expressed his frustration and disappointment, detailing how the swatter falsely reported a serious crime, leading to an emergency response by local authorities. He described the incident as part of the “weird s**t going on in this neighborhood”.

Despite the chaos, Cenat’s Mafiathon 2 has seen several notable highlights. The event, which began on November 1, features guest appearances, including a segment with TikTok star Miles Morales NPC and an appearance by actor Miranda Cosgrove in a segment dubbed “KaiCarly.” Additionally, Cenat announced that 20% of the revenue generated from the event will go towards building a school in Makoko, Nigeria.

Cenat’s efforts have garnered significant support, with the streamer recently achieving a subscriber milestone of over 140,000 following the swatting incident. The event is part of Cenat’s attempt to regain his position as the most-subscribed Twitch streamer, a title he lost in October 2024.

Swatting, a dangerous prank involving false emergency reports, has been a recurring issue for Cenat. In November 2022, he was also targeted during a stream. The recent incident highlights the ongoing safety risks faced by high-profile streamers and the need for stricter laws against such pranks. Georgia, where the latest incident occurred, has recently implemented stricter penalties for swatting, including felony charges and significant prison sentences.
