Kaka‘s former spouse, Caroline Celico, has unveiled the underlying reason behind their divorce, citing that the Brazilian football icon was ‘too perfect’ for her liking. The couple, who tied the knot in 2005 and split in 2015, share two children.

Despite Kaka’s loyalty and devotion, Caroline expressed her sense of dissatisfaction within the marriage, where she felt a void that continued to persist. She acknowledged Kaka’s good treatment towards her and their creation of a beautiful family but stressed that his perfectionism did not align with her own needs.

Caroline Celico, now 36, ventured into Kaka’s church post-marriage and later transitioned into an Evangelical pastor role before stepping down in 2010. Subsequently, she founded Horizontal Love, a charitable organization supporting various Brazilian NGOs with essential supplies and educational resources.

In 2021, Caroline found love again with Eduardo Scarpa Julião, and the couple is eagerly anticipating the arrival of their first child together. Meanwhile, Kaka embarked on a new relationship with his current partner, whom he began dating in 2017.

The former Ballon d'Or winner recently announced their engagement, expressing sheer bliss and gratitude for the next chapter with his fiancée. Kaka’s illustrious football career includes notable achievements like winning the World Cup with Brazil in 2002, claiming multiple titles with AC Milan, and clinching La Liga victory with Real Madrid.
