Kannywood Actress Amal Umar Arrested For Alleged Bribery Attempt

Popular Kannywood actress Amal Umar has been arrested in Kano State for allegedly attempting to bribe a police officer, stirring controversy in the entertainment industry.

The arrest stemmed from an incident where Amal was accused of offering a sum of 250,000 naira to a police officer to secure the release of her impounded car, a move that has raised eyebrows among her millions of fans.

Amal, known for her role in the film ‘Fuska Biyu’, has vehemently denied the allegations, with her lawyer, Adama Usman, arguing that it was the police officer who initially solicited money from the actress.

Police reports indicate that Amal’s car was seized over a year ago on suspicions of being linked to fraudulent activities allegedly carried out by her boyfriend, Ramadan Inuwa, who is currently wanted by the authorities.

Speaking to the media, Kano police spokesman Bashir Muhammad revealed that Amal allegedly promised to provide more money to the officer after initially offering the 250,000 naira.

Amal’s legal representative, Mrs. Usman, expressed confidence in their defense, citing a previous court victory where the actress was cleared of any connection to her boyfriend’s illicit dealings.

Amid the unfolding legal battle, fans and industry insiders have been following the case closely, with many expressing support for Amal and questioning the handling of the situation by the police.

Despite being released on bail, Amal Umar continues to face scrutiny and legal proceedings as the controversy surrounding the alleged bribery attempt unfolds in Kano State.
