Kelly Stafford Shares Secrets About Marriage and Matthew Stafford

LOS ANGELES, CA — Kelly Stafford, wife of Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, opened up about their relationship during a recent podcast episode. In the May 22 episode of her podcast, Kelly, 35, revealed that her husband was initially attracted to her figure, jokingly stating, “My ass,” while describing their early connection.

Kelly discussed how their romance began while they were both students at the University of Georgia when Matthew was the Bulldogs’ star quarterback. She recounted that their relationship started out poorly and even involved her dating another quarterback out of spite. However, a bond developed, and they married in 2015.

Reflecting on her appearance, Kelly shared that she takes pride in maintaining her fitness, saying, “That’s why I’m constantly in the gym right now to make sure the booty amongst everything else looks better. All I do is legs and ass.” She and Matthew are parents to four children, including twins who are 8 years old.

Matthew’s mother, Margaret, also detailed her first meeting with Kelly on a podcast episode, noting that Kelly was “adorable.” The challenges of marriage, Kelly stated, are significant, emphasizing, “Marriage is f***ing hard.”

Since Matthew was drafted first overall by the Detroit Lions in 2009, Kelly noted the adjustments she had to make in their lifestyle, reflecting on how their once-adventurous nights turned into quieter family time.

“I had to be like, ‘OK, this is a change and I’m going to support that change,’” she said, as she has embraced the new chapter of their lives together.
