Kerala Blasters Make Epic Comeback to Beat FC Goa 4-2 in ISL Thriller
Trailing by 2-0 in the first half, Kerala Blasters FC staged a sensational comeback to defeat FC Goa 4-2 in a thrilling Indian Super League (ISL) encounter at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
The home side, led by stand-in captain Dimitrios Doamantakos, showcased resilience and determination to secure a monumental victory.

Notably, this victory marked the first time Kerala Blasters have emerged victorious after going down by a two-goal deficit. In contrast, FC Goa, under the management of Manolo Marquez, suffered their first defeat after leading by two goals.
The game witnessed a dramatic turnaround as Kerala Blasters netted three goals in the last five minutes of regular time, leaving the visitors stunned. Doamantakos played a pivotal role, scoring two goals and setting up another, while Cernych sealed the comeback with his first goal on Indian soil.
Scoring for FC Goa were Rowlin Borges and Mohammad Yasir in the early stages of the match. However, the determined performance by Kerala Blasters in the latter part of the game overshadowed FC Goa’s early lead.
This crucial win ended Kerala Blasters’ three-match losing streak and propelled them ahead of FC Goa in the ISL standings. Kerala Blasters now sit at 29 points, surpassing FC Goa, who have 28 points with a game in hand.
