Kevin Kisner Tgl Golf Match Jupiter Links

JUPITER, Fla. — Kevin Kisner’s recent struggles in the TGL (Tech-Infused Golf League) have sparked a wave of criticism and calls for Charlie Woods, Tiger Woods’ 15-year-old son, to replace him on the Jupiter Links team. Kisner, a four-time PGA Tour winner, has faced mounting scrutiny after a series of underwhelming performances, including a viral shank shot that left fans and commentators in disbelief.

During the second match of the TGL season, Kisner’s difficulties were on full display. On the second hole, he missed a crucial putt, forcing teammate Tom Kim to salvage the situation. The team eventually lost the hammer, allowing Boston Common Golf to tie the hole. Kisner’s struggles continued throughout the match, with his most notable moment being a bizarre wedge shot that ricocheted off the flagstick, drawing both laughter and frustration from spectators.

“We honestly didn’t think that anyone could possibly get hit in here. But that was one of the funniest moments I’ve ever seen, Kis hitting that shot like that. We were just dying,” said a commentator during the match. Despite the lighthearted reaction, some fans have grown impatient with Kisner’s performance, with many calling for Charlie Woods to step in.

“Charlie Woods would probably be a significant improvement over Kevin Kisner, who should be permanently benched,” wrote one fan on social media. Another added, “Can @JupiterLinksGC sub in Charlie for Kisner?!” However, TGL rules prohibit substitutions within a match, making such a move impossible for the current season.

Kisner, who also works as an analyst for Golf Channel, has shown flashes of his former self, including a clutch 10-foot putt on the 8th hole and a solid approach shot on the 7th. Yet, these moments have done little to quell the growing discontent among fans. Kyle Porter, a former CBS writer and current TGL betting analyst, joked, “I am convinced that Jupiter declined the hammer not because they weren’t going to win the hole but to keep the fans safe from another Kevin Kisner bunker shot.”

Alex Myers, Senior Writer at Golf Digest, took the criticism a step further, tweeting, “Tiger Woods winning a TGL match with Kevin Kisner as a teammate would be more impressive than him winning a U.S. Open on a broken leg.” Frankie Borrelli of Barstool Sports added, “Kevin Kisner walks into the TGL arena, and every ounce of skill in his body stays in the parking lot.”

While Kisner’s career achievements are undeniable, his recent form has raised questions about his future in competitive golf. As the debate over his place on the Jupiter Links team continues, one thing is clear: the pressure is mounting for the veteran golfer to prove his worth.
