ORLANDO, FloridaKeyshawn Hall, a junior forward at the University of Central Florida (UCF), announced on March 29, 2025, that he will enter the NCAA Transfer Portal after one standout season with the Knights. The 6-foot-7, 240-pound player previously played for George Mason and UNLV, marking his fourth institution in as many years.

Hall averaged 18.8 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game this past season, leading the Big 12 in scoring. He also earned All-Atlantic 10 and All-Big 12 honors in successive years, showcasing his impressive performance on the court. Notably, Hall recorded a 40-point game against Arizona State and two 34-point outings against Kansas and Oklahoma State while competing in conference play.

A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Hall originally signed with UNLV as a three-star recruit in the Class of 2022. After one season with the Runnin’ Rebels, he transferred to George Mason before landing at UCF. He will have one year of eligibility remaining at his next destination.

Hall’s decision to enter the transfer portal follows the opening of the portal on March 25, 2025, making him the eighth player from UCF to seek new opportunities. It’s been reported that he has received name, image, and likeness (NIL) offers totaling around $2.5 million from several schools, with the payments likely structured to comply with the NCAA revenue-sharing cap.

This past season, he started all 33 games for the Knights, earning second-team all-conference and all-conference newcomer accolades. UCF finished the season with a 17-16 record and 7-13 in the Big 12. The Knights are preparing to face Oregon State in the first round of the inaugural College Basketball Crown on April 1, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. EDT at The MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Whether Hall will participate in the upcoming game remains uncertain. UCF’s roster will undergo significant changes, with Hall’s departure marking a pivotal moment for the team that has already added ten newcomers in the 2023-24 season and eleven in 2024-25, primarily through the transfer market.

The Knights are also expected to lose graduating players Darius Johnson, Dallan “Deebo” Coleman, and Benny Williams. The only players returning next year include Dior Johnson, Poohpha Warakulnukroh, Moustapha Thiam, and Elijah Hulsewe, who may also consider entry into the transfer portal.

“This roster is in a state of flux,” said UCF head coach Johnny Dawkins. “We are looking to rebuild for next season, and we’ll see how this all unfolds.”
