LOS ANGELES, Feb. 14, 2025 — Netflix has officially renewed the popular young adult series “XO, Kitty” for a third season, just in time for Valentine’s Day. The announcement was made via social media, building anticipation for another chapter in Kitty Song Covey’s adventures at the Korean Independent School of Seoul (KISS).

Kitty, played by Anna Cathcart, will return to KISS for her senior year, where viewers can expect a summer filled with romance and drama. Jessica O’Toole, the showrunner and executive producer, expressed her excitement, stating, “I’m so excited to head back to Seoul for another season with our incredible cast and crew. If you thought junior year at KISS brought the drama… just wait.”

Season 2 premiered on January 16, 2025, and quickly gained popularity, debuting at No. 2 on Netflix’s English TV list with 14.2 million views, signaling the series’ strong fan engagement. During this season, Kitty faced multiple challenges, including managing her love life and reuniting her fractured family, while new relationships blossomed.

Throughout Season 2, Kitty contended with a cliffhanger ending that left many viewers eager for the next installment. O’Toole hinted, “I know we left fans on a cliffhanger at the end of Season 2, but I can promise Season 3 will be worth the wait, including our first summer episode—not to mention plenty of romance, friendship, adventure… and kissing. Lots of kissing.”

The romantic dramedy is a spin-off of Netflix’s successful “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before” film franchise, which is based on Jenny Han’s bestselling novels. As the youngest Song Covey sister, Kitty navigates being a teenager in Seoul while exploring her romantic endeavors.

In addition to Cathcart, the series features a talented cast including Minyeong Choi, Gia Kim, and Sang Heon Lee. The dynamic storylines and character interactions have been praised by fans, making the show a staple in young adult television.

The plot for Season 2 detailed Kitty’s first semester at KISS without an active love interest and her subsequent journey of self-discovery, thus keeping audiences engaged. Viewers can look forward to further developments, including Kitty’s evolving relationships, her explorations of love, and her ongoing quest to learn more about her mother, who passed away.

In the finale of Season 2, Kitty is seen just shy of confessing her feelings to Min Ho, hinting at a potential summer tour adventure where they might deepen their relationship. The renewal for a third season opens the door for new storylines, including family drama surrounding Dae, who faces a class action lawsuit that could affect his relationship with Yuri, leading to potential complications.

“XO, Kitty” has captivated audiences around the globe, earning a spot in Netflix’s Top 10 in 89 countries shortly after its release. Fans continue to rally behind the series, which offers a mixture of heartfelt moments, comedic misadventures, and engaging plot twists.

More details about the release date and further narrative arcs will be shared in the months leading up to Season 3’s debut, and viewers are encouraged to keep an eye on Tudum for updates.
