Kylie Minogue Announces New Album and World Tour for 2025
Kylie Minogue has announced the release of her upcoming album, set to arrive on October 18, under the label BMG. The album, featuring nine brand new tracks, continues the club-inspired sound that has characterized Minogue’s recent hits “Padam Padam” and “Tension.” The lead single is produced by Lewis Thompson, with songwriting contributions from Minogue, Thompson, and Ina Wroldsen.
In addition to the standard album release, a special digital bundle will include an extended mix of the title track and various remixes. To accompany the new music, a video for the single, directed by Sophie Muller, is slated to premiere at 2 PM BST. Filmed in Budapest, the video promises to capture the essence of Minogue’s latest musical phase, as described by the artist herself who remarked, “The ‘Tension’ era has been so special to me… I can’t possibly let it be over just yet! Welcome to ‘Tension II’.”
The album’s tracklist includes collaborative efforts with artists like The Blessed Madonna, Bebe Rexha, Tove Lo, Orville Peck, Diplo, and Sia. Song titles from the project include “Lights Camera Action,” “Taboo,” and “Someone For Me.”
Coinciding with the album release, Minogue has revealed a world tour, the “TENSION TOUR 2025,” marking her first live concert series in six years. Kicking off in Perth, Australia, on February 15, the tour will make its way through Asia and the United Kingdom, with additional dates across Europe and the Americas yet to be announced. Minogue expressed her excitement by saying, “I am beyond excited to announce the TENSION TOUR 2025. I can’t wait to share beautiful and wild moments with fans all over the world, celebrating the Tension era and more!”
The scheduled performances include multiple dates in cities such as Melbourne and Sydney, and culminate in a series of UK shows, concluding with newly added performances at London‘s The O2.
