NASHVILLE, TennesseeLeAnn Rimes and Kimberly Williams-Paisley are set to star in the upcoming drama series “9-1-1: Nashville,” joining Chris O'Donnell and Jessica Capshaw, according to sources from Variety. The new show is part of the popular “9-1-1” franchise and will air on ABC.

Rimes, a Grammy-winning singer-songwriter, is known for hits such as “How Do I Live” and “Can’t Fight the Moonlight.” She has sold over 48 million records worldwide and has acted in various television shows and movies, including “Moesha” and “Coyote Ugly.” Rimes expressed her excitement on social media, stating, “I’m super excited to be joining @ryanmurphyproductions 9-1-1: Nashville alongside @chrisodonnell, @jessicacapshaw & @kimberlywilliamspaisley!”

Williams-Paisley is widely recognized for her role in the beloved “Father of the Bride” movies and was a regular on the ABC sitcom “According to Jim.” She has appeared in films, including “The Christmas Chronicles” and is also a co-founder of The Store, a nonprofit organization in Nashville aimed at addressing food insecurity. She shared her enthusiasm for the project, saying, “YE-HAW!! I’m thrilled to be joining the cast of 9-1-1 Nashville!”

“9-1-1: Nashville” is being developed by Ryan Murphy, Tim Minear, and Rashad Raisani, who are also executive producing the series. The show will focus on the personal and professional lives of first responders in Nashville, which is known for its rich musical culture.

This new series expands the “9-1-1” universe, following the recently concluded “9-1-1: Lone Star,” which aired for five seasons on FOX. The original “9-1-1” series premiered in 2018 on FOX and is currently airing its eighth season.

A premiere date for “9-1-1: Nashville” has yet to be announced, but the series is expected to debut during the 2025-26 television season.
