Lebron James Basketball Practice G League

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — LeBron James is set to practice with the G League’s South Bay Lakers as he works towards his highly anticipated return from injury. Head coach JJ Redick shared this news on Monday ahead of the Lakers’ road game against the Charlotte Hornets.

James, who has been dealing with sciatica since the beginning of training camp, has yet to participate in any games this season. The Lakers started the season well, with a 7-2 record, but are currently facing significant injury challenges.

While initially stating that James was practicing with South Bay, the Lakers clarified that the practice would actually take place later this week. The team remains cautious about setting a timetable for James’ recovery, and he has not given extensive updates to the media since media day in late September.

The Lakers’ next home game is on November 18 against the Utah Jazz, where James may make his season debut unless there are unforeseen setbacks. This season, if James plays, he will break the record for the most seasons played in NBA history, having started his career in October 2003.

Redick also mentioned that Austin Reaves, who recently missed three games with a hamstring injury, would be starting against the Hornets. Reaves averaged over 31 points in his first seven games this season and is expected to help strengthen the Lakers’ lineup.

James’ return is eagerly awaited by teammates, including guard Luka Doncic, who expressed his excitement, saying, ‘We can’t wait. All of us can’t wait. It’s Bron, so it’s always good to have him back. Hopefully soon.’
