Lenovo Legion Go 2 Ces 2025 Prototype

Lenovo has unveiled its next-generation Legion Go 2 handheld gaming device and expanded its Legion ecosystem at CES 2025, showcasing a range of gaming innovations designed to push the boundaries of portable and competitive gaming. The Legion Go 2, a prototype at this stage, features significant upgrades in performance, battery life, and ergonomics, marking a leap forward for the high-end handheld gaming market.

The Legion Go 2 is powered by the AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme processor, a Zen 5 architecture chip with 16 Graphics Cores and RDNA 3.5 graphics. It boasts a 16:10 OLED display with Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), up to 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and a 74Whr battery, a 50% increase over its predecessor. Lenovo has also refined the detachable TrueStrike controllers for improved ergonomics, addressing user feedback from the original Legion Go.

In addition to the Legion Go 2, Lenovo introduced the Legion Go S, a Windows-based handheld with an 8-inch WUXGA display and AMD Ryzen Z2 or Z1 Extreme processors. A SteamOS-powered variant of the Legion Go S was also announced, offering a console-like gaming experience with cloud saves and Remote Play capabilities.

Lenovo’s gaming ecosystem extends beyond handhelds, with updates to its Legion Pro series laptops, Legion Tower desktops, and Legion Tab gaming tablet. The redesigned Legion Pro laptops feature Intel Core Ultra 9 processors, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs, and OLED displays with up to 240Hz refresh rates. The Legion Tab, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, offers a 165Hz display and advanced cooling for mobile gaming.

Lenovo also highlighted its redesigned Legion Space software, which integrates AI-powered tools for performance optimization, streaming, and social media management. The company plans to launch the Legion Go 2 and other devices worldwide in 2025, though pricing and final production details remain under wraps.
