Liam Neeson is gearing up for two new film roles that promise to showcase his versatility as an actor. First, he will star in the action thriller ‘Absolution’, directed by Hans Petter Moland and written by Tony Gayton. In this film, Neeson plays an aging gangster who attempts to reconnect with his children and rectify the mistakes of his past, but finds himself entangled in the relentless grip of the criminal underworld. The movie, set for release on November 1, features a cast that includes Yolonda Ross, Frankie Shaw, Daniel Diemer, Javier Molina, Jimmy Gonzales, Josh Drennen, and Ron Perlman.

In addition to ‘Absolution’, Neeson is also set to lead the cast of the dark heist comedy ‘4 Kids Walk Into a Bank’. Based on a graphic novel by Matthew Rosenberg and Tyler Boss, the film is adapted by Matt Robinson with revisions by director Frankie Shaw. Neeson will play Danny, a former bank robber whose teenage granddaughter Paige (played by Talia Ryder) devises a plan to rob a bank to prevent him from being pulled back into his old life. The film also stars Noah Jupe, Whitney Peak, Jack Dylan Grazer, and Deacon Phillippe.

Both films mark significant additions to Neeson’s diverse filmography, which has included iconic roles in ‘Schindler’s List’, ‘Taken‘, and ‘Star Wars‘ prequels. ‘Absolution’ is Neeson’s second collaboration with Samuel Goldwyn Films, following the release of ‘In the Land of Saints and Sinners’).
